Call for Recipes for an Intercultural Cookbook

16.12.2022

The Geschwister-Gummi-Foundation as well as the language promotion project "Schreibwerkstatt Grenzenlos" are committed to foster intercultural exchange among all cultures living in Kulmbach. In their work, it is evident that food and cooking in particular play a central role in intercultural communication and understanding. Together with the participants of an intercultural women's group, they are currently working on a cookbook in which recipes from different cultures are given their place and are accompanied by little stories about their individual meanings.

The staff and students of Faculty 7 also enrich Kulmbach interculturally. Do you also have such a dish that has a special meaning to you beyond its good taste? A recipe that you would like to share?

We welcome expressions of interest in contributing a recipe and a short story about its significance for the intercultural cookbook by 15 January 2023 to tina.bartelmess@uni-bayreuth.de.
