Food Sociology
Sophie Herdegen has been studying the topic of frailty since her master’s program. Her research initially focused on movement science, particularly on how activities of daily living (ADL) are performed. As part of her dissertation, she now focuses on the nutritional aspects of frailty. In doing so, she considers biochemical and physiological effects of nutrition as well as social and cultural factors.
